Celebrating our Community of over 400K Models!

This week we celebrate you! Our stunners! The unique models in our modeling community, may I add! It has been a journey starting 2009 and we have now grown to over 400k models! Let’s dive into just a few of the model experiences over these past couple of years.

Masha Yerokhova breaks down modelling stereotypes as she has never been represented by an agency due to her short height. Her response? Create your own fashion, rather than follow it. Could not agree more Masha!

Model: Masha Yerokhova

BBHMM (B*tch better have my money)’s modeling contest Fresh Faces Winner Sita Abellán, starred in Rihanna’s music video as one of RiRi’s bad girls. Her career did not stop there as she got signed with Wilhelmina Models shortly after taking the spotlight in our modelling competition and was cast for Moschino, Jeremy Scott and more!

Model: Sita Abellán

Sita is not the only star found on MM, Monika Reiterova took the spotlight in the music video of famous Italian rapper Ghali called Marijuana. Ghali wanted a model representing class and a hint of fashion instead of the usual ‘’big booty models’’ shown in hip hop music videos.

Model: Monika Reiterova

Or how about Chelsea Princess, one of our MM success stories who went on to star in campaigns for Bata and BONPRIX!

Model: Chelsea Princess

From the gym to the cover of Cosmopolitan in Germany. Rudi Witkowsky and girlfriend, Victoria Botha were discovered by Rebecca von Rehn. The couple’s charm, uniqueness (and blue hair!) were details that stole Rebecca’s heart and that of German Cosmopolitan as they wrote an article on the shoot calling them the ‘’sweetest couple ever’’. #CoupleGoals!

Model: Rudi Witkowsky

Surprised is how Ricardo Fernandez started his modelling career as he was selected as a Fresh Faces contest Winner and was signed by an agency straight away. Daniel Perez experienced the same, as he walked for famous brands like Prada and Armani right after the competition.

Model: Ricardo Fernandez

Model: Daniel Perez

Another Fresh Faces Winner is Ana Margarida from sunny Portugal. She is now signed with Central Models, the same agency that represents Sara Sampaio from Victoria Secret! She is featured in several campaigns and is on her way to becoming the next Portuguese Top Model!

Model: Ana Margarida

Birgitta Petursdottir from Iceland was scouted at age 19 by an agency. Birgitta mentions the opportunities to have a modelling career in Iceland are minimum and thanks her career to the internet.

Model: Birgitta Petursdottir

A new door opens.. Jessica Aidi was casted by Karl Lagerfeld (out of over 2000 applicants!) to be on the cover of ELLE France. With little modelling experience she managed to heat up the game and is currently signed with elite modelling agency, Next Paris.

Model: Jessica Aidi

Fan Wang has signed contracts with Milk Model Management (London), Nathaliee Models (Paris), Metro Models (Switzerland) and Uno (Barcelona). Nowadays Fan Wang is busy walking for Pret-aPorter shows in Paris, Milan and London.

Haven’t you learned to never ask a lady for her age? Inspiring model Alicia Valle has joined the community as a senior model at the age of 50 years. Her photos are beautiful! Another barrier breaker is Samantha Sam, who is covered in artistic tattoos, she works as both a catwalk and photography model. Her first catwalk was for designer Anna Naagy.

The city´s most famous park with tons of picture-perfect spots! It’s easily accessible by subway and runs for 2.5 miles, it´s hard not to get lost in the beauty!

Top of the Rock. Model: Sydney. Photographer: Stephanie Sunderland.

This one is a little different from everything else on our list, you have to pay to go up (but totally worth it.) Once you’re on top, you’ll find the most perfect view of New York City. Make sure to go early in the morning to beat the crowds!

Greenwich Village. Models: Gabrielle Richardson and Selah Marley. Photographer: Jeff Henrikson

This village is an entire neighborhood filled with unique shooting locations; it’s truly a gem in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city. A short walk through the village is sure to give you some inspo that will last you a lifetime!

Why Different is the New Beautiful

It’s no secret that millennials are ruling the online world and shaping its trends, be it fashion, modeling or beauty. They’re pushing these industries from a “Hollywood starlets only” dogma to a more inclusive one, granting everyone the opportunity to find their representation. That’s definitely one thing we here at modeling community push for!

If you ever felt you couldn’t fit in because of any physical feature that makes you stand out, now this same feature might just be your ticket to success in the modeling industry!

Here are some models that used what might’ve been an insecurity and made it the reason they’re special, one of a kind even!

Model Ralph Souffrant

Ralph Souffrant admitted to hating his freckles in the past, as they were the reason for constant stares and bullying. Now, he credits his freckles for his success, having modeled for brands like Yeezy, Diesel, Addidas and Calvin Klein. His embracing of his skin condition helped him get his family out of poverty.

If that’s not the happiest ending, what is?

Model Lilianna Ruger

Lilianna Ruger is an American model based in New York. The stunning Ruger has been a part of the community for just a few months, but is already one of our favorites!

Model Serj Voron

Serj Voron is a Russian model based in Saint Petersburg. Voron is one of our most popular tattooed models! Anyone else see the Johnny Depp resemblance?

Model Nikita Wolfe

Nikita Wolfe is a Spanish model based in Barcelona. Wolfe´s androgynous look makes her a photographer favorite!

Model Diandra Forrest

Diandra Forrest had always dreamt of being a model, and went on to become the first albino African-American to get signed by a major agency. She has appeared in numerous editorials and runways, and featured in music videos alongside Beyoncé and Kanye West.

Model Nicolas Gaviria

Nicolas Gaviria is a Colombian model based in Bogota. Gaviria´s modeling is non-conforming, consistently sticking it to the status quo!

Model Paula Moraes

Paula Moraes is a Brazilian model  based in San Lorenzo de El Escorial near Madrid. Isn´t she a beaut?!

Model Sara Guerts

Sara Guerts is another exceptional, American model with a rare skin condition that wrinkled her entire body at a young age. Guerts is now a full-time, well-recognized model with a feature in Volition Magazine’s 2017 issue on body-positivity.

Model Manuel Andersson

Manuel Andersson is a Swedish model based in Umea. Andersson is another one of our favorite androgynous models!

This is just a short list of some of our favorite success stories, which challenge the traditional definition of modeling in today’s fashion and beauty industry. You can find many just like these extraordinary models, or you can become one of them on our website today!

Models who stole the show with their unique freckles

In the Middle Ages, women with freckles or any kind of beauty spots were laughed at, but oh, how things have changed! Freckles are not only beautiful they are slowly becoming a trend and model agencies and photographers cannot get enough. Indeed, they have become so popular over the last year that fake freckles and tattoo freckles are now a thing. Models, such as Kendall Jenner or Emily Ratajkowski, fooled their followers, appearing with freckles never seen before, but then revealed that these were makeup. However, some other new models have them naturally, which gives them a particularly unique, and we think, stunning look!

Maeva Giani Marshall

Maeva is a 23 year old model who was revealed during the Zadig et Voltaire show at the New York Fashion Week. You notice that on her most recent pictures, she has more and more freckles, which attracts her Instagram followers´ attention regarding whether or not her freckles are fake. She replied to these comments saying that she is suffering from hyper pigmentation, due to kidney issues she had in the past. These freckles are surrounding her eyes and cheeks. At the moment, she is signed at Heroes Model in New York.

Photographer: Emmanuel Sanchez Montalve

Salem Mitchell

Salem is a 19 year old model based in Los Angeles. She was revealed last year thanks to her “banana selfies” she posted on her Twitter. People were actually making fun of her freckles, but it turned out she became a model signed at Ford Models agency.

Photographer: Bryan Carr

Adwoa Aboah

The 25 year old British model was chosen as Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards 2017. The tomboy-looking and shaved model, who has both of her parents in the fashion industry, has walked for a lot of prestigious brands. But she really entered the minds last year, after she did the cover of Vogue UK.

Photographer: Thurstan Redding

Danielle Lashley

Danielle, 21 year old, was scouted at a Justin Bieber’s concert in London, after what she was signed at Next Models Management, two years ago. This new face met the public during her first catwalk for Louis Vuitton’s autumn/winter 2017 collection at the Paris Fashion Week. She wears natural freckles on her pretty and innocent face. After that, she walked for several brands, such as Paco Rabanne, Chloe, Versus Versace or Kenzo.

Photographer: Bartek Szmigulski

Carissa Pinkston

Another model noticed this year, Carissa, 18 years old from Pennsylvania. Her green eyes and freckles give her a unique look, that brought her to walk for Marc Jacobs’ Spring/Summer 2018 Collection at the New York Fashion Week. She is currently signed at Elite Model Management.

Photographer: Bellezza Moda

Aleece Wilson

Aleece Wilson is another freckled model, who got signed at Elite Model Toronto. The funny story is that she met Carissa Pinkston (previous model presented) on Instagram, and they ended up realizing they actually have the same parents! So these two very look-a-like freckled models discovered this past summer that they were actually sisters.
She walked several shows of famous brands, such as Marc Jacobs or Alexander Wang.

Photographer: Tiffany Nicholson’s modeling community has hundreds of thousands of registered models and here are just a few freckled models that you can connect with right now!

If you are looking for freckled models to shoot with, or to represent in your agency, then post a casting for free right now in our modeling community.

10 tricks to instantly look better in pictures

Not everyone is born as a photogenic model that looks good on every picture. These 10 tricks will help you next time you are posing in front of the camera for a photographer!

1. Use your tongue

Daliah Vajnorsky on

Even though it sounds weird for the first time – try to keep your tongue behind the teeth and slightly touching the roof of your mouth while smiling. It helps to avoid the double chin and wide grin since it elongates your neck and your jawline.

2. Avoid direct head-on shots

Liene Zemjāne on

Know your angle and try to turn your body ¾ towards the camera. Try to tilt your chin either a little bit up or down and don´t look straight at the camera.

3. Hello cheekbones!

Jill Benz on

Everyone has a different “side”, so try to turn your head to the left and to the right to find out which side is best. It’s commonly said that the good site is the left, because it shows off the cheekbones.

4. Take a deep breath

Luana Silva on

Before the picture is taken feel relaxed. Take a deep breath, close your eyes and then open your eyes before the shutter clicks.

5. Don´t say cheese

Gwen on

Instead of saying “cheese” rather say “monkey” or “money”. The “e” will make you smile and your eyes crinkle in a more natural way.

6. Posture

Philamanda Fumuatu on

Keep your shoulders back and straight, stand tall but stay relaxed at the same time!

7. Try something new

Leticia Rodriguez on

Try other postures and not the normal “hip out and smile posture”. Do whatever comes to your mind and feels natural. Giggle, flip your hair, hold a drink, look somewhere else…

8. Cross your ankles

Giovara Geertruida on

Try to cross your ankles it will make your hips look narrower and your legs look longer. Also try to stand a little bit on your tiptoes it makes your legs look longer and you appear taller than you are!

9. Position your arms

Tatyana Suñé on

Don´t forget to put your arms in a fixed position and don´t let them swing around awkwardly. Put the arm closest to the camera on your hip. That posture ensures that the upper arm isn´t pushed against the body making it look flattened.

10. Experiment with styling

Barbarita Homs on

Try to avoid that all your pictures look the same. Put on some bolder make-up, change your wardrobe and change the background. You will be surprised how good it looks!

Once you’ve got your look sorted, then it’s time to show the world! Sign up now and create your free model account on and start applying to castings!

Interview with Joan Cebrià – Boudoir Photographer From Spain

Joan Cebrià is a professional boudoir, portrait and fashion photographer located in Girona, Spain. He started his career 6 years ago so we decided to ask him questions about his job and his personal style and Joan shared some advice for those photographers who want to start boudoir photography! How and when did your photography career start?
Joan Cebrià: My sister studied Fine Arts in 1998 and I had the first contact with an analog camera with her. That’s when my interest and curiosity began, so I decided to train professionally at the ERAM school. Finally, in 2011 I got into the world of photography in a professional way until now.

Photographer: Joan Cebrià Model: Valeria Bond

MM: Where did you get your inspiration?
JC: It’s difficult to choose one of between several inspirational photographers. I get inspired by someone who likes her or his way of working and style, but if I had to name two, they would be Frank Doorho and Annie Leibovitz.

Photographer: Joan Cebrià

MM: You are a portrait, fashion and boudoir photographer. Which type of photography is your favorite?
JC: It is true, I like to work several disciplines but without a doubt, if I have to choose one, I prefer the portrait. Capturing the soul of a model with a shoot is very rewarding. The emotions that we are able to transmit when we are in a session are endless. I like to be in the front row to live it.

Photographer: Joan Cebrià

MM: Do you think is a helpful platform for photographers?
JC: Absolutely. It is a platform that helps photographers to get noticed. Also, you have the possibility to connect with a lot of people in the industry. Nowadays it is very useful to be in and collaborate with platforms such as

Photographer: Joan Cebrià

MM: How would you describe your personal style?
JC: That question is complicated. I don’t like to speak about myself but to describe my style, people know that I run away from extremes and that I try to approach positions, conciliate values, so I would define myself as an eclectic.

Photographer: Joan Cebrià

MM: Advice to others photographers who want to start boudoir photography?
JC: Boudoir photography is feeling sexy for the camera and at the same time has a little point of romanticism. You have to work very hard to get that essence and above all establish a relationship of trust with the model, feel that she or he is comfortable. Making the bashfulness turn into security and creating a good environment is essential. For me, that would be the best advice to share.

Photographer: Joan Cebrià

MM: In your opinion photography is a born talent or made?
JC: I think it’s possible to be born with an innate talent, but above all, I am sure that with effort and dedication you can become a great professional and above all the ability to improve day by day will make you a better photographer. If you love your work you can make your talent love it too!

Photographer: Joan Cebrià

MM: Is it important to photographers to be present on Social media or websites like
JC: Yes! We live in a digital world and social networks are a way to get to know our work and have feedback from people. Also, we can offer our services and contact potential clients/ models through’s platform. We must be in but prudentially and with respect!

Photographer: Joan Cebrià

MM: What are your next photography projects?
JC: I have many projects in mind for 2018. I want to focus mainly on consolidating myself as a model photographer for clothing brands or accessories. I believe in loyalty and professionalism as skills that endorse me as a photographer who can do an amazing job.

Check out Joan’s profile and website to see the rest of his work.

Why has Boudoir Photography become so popular?

These days it seems that everybody is talking about Boudoir Photography, and the community are sharing more and more pictures and castings regarding this type of photography. But what exactly is Boudoir Photography? When you’ve finished reading this post, you’ll be an expert on this exciting trend!

Model Michelle Lamb on

The French word boudoir, historically, stands for the private suite of rooms of a “lady” or upper-class woman, for bathing and dressing, adjacent to her bedchamber, being the female equivalent of the male cabinet. The aim of Boudoir Photographs are to give the opportunity to [mostly] women to have sensual photos of themselves, which are not intended to be seen by a wide audience, but rather to remain under the control of the subject. However in today’s world of Instagram and the explosion of sharing images online, it’s hardly surprising that the subjects are often so happy with the results that they gladly share them with their social media, or on their model profiles.

Model Miri on

It is distinct from the usual Glamour and Artistic nude styles of photography because Boudoir enhances the sensual side of women rather than the erotic. Pictures taken in a Boudoir style are more suggestive, rather than explicit and typically feature subjects who do not regularly model.

As the word suggests, Boudoir photography is shot in bedrooms, but it can be shot in other rooms within home, in a studio, or quite often in luxury hotels.

Model Danni Dahli on

What suggestions can we give to the photographers of who are interested in shooting this type of photography?

First of all we have to take in mind that the objective is to achieve intimate photos with a subject who requests these types of photos. It is essential to begin with a consultation and to discuss their requirements. This is a shoot where the subject will tell you the kind of photos that they want and and what makes them feel comfortable, and it’s up to the photographer to help make those images a reality.

Model Laura Luna on

Usually, the favourite outfit for Boudoir shots is lingerie, but women often choose to wear what they feel most comfortable with, whether it’s a dress, a full underwear, a shirt, garter belt or guêpière.
It’s important to consider that the boudoir should represent the client and her personality. Women do not have to be naked to feel sexy. Being nude / in lingerie is not for everyone, but each one has their favourite outfit that makes them feel sexy.

Model Nadine on

Boudoir Photography became a trend especially between brides, who decided to give the album of their Boudoir session as a present to the groom on the wedding night.
A Boudoir shooting concerns a woman and her intimacy, her most jealously guarded feelings against the curiosity and indiscretion of others. Often less is more, and this type of photography can be very elegant and timeless.

Model Danni Dahli on

Boudoir photography is an experience that a woman takes, a personal trip about love and rediscovering her own beauty.
This style has gained popularity because so many women want, and need to feel beautiful and unique in her own way. And what better than a shooting that exalts women’s sensuality with class and without falling into the vulgar. Boudoir Photography is all about loving yourself and feeling good in your body.

Are you ready to be part of this experience? If you’re  professional or semi-professional photographer and you want to find a model for your boudoir shoot, why not post a casting to our modeling community
